Engineering Manager, Agents | Agentic AI Marketing Platform | Remote (US or Canada) | US$220K–$400K + Equity

Lead a pod building agentic AI for marketing at a Series D hypergrowth company. Fully remote across the US or Canada, US$220K–$400K base + meaningful equity.

We are partnering with Hightouch to find their next Engineering Manager for the Agents team.

Hightouch is building the AI-native operating system for marketing. Its Agentic Marketing Platform (AMP) is one of the company’s biggest strategic investments, and they’re hiring a hands-on engineering leader to take over a pod within the Agents team. This is a new seat created by growth, not a backfill, and it reports directly to the SVP of Engineering.

The role is fully remote from anywhere in the US or Canada, with the same pay band wherever you live.

The opportunity

Engineering manager leading a technical whiteboard session You’ll lead a pod of 4–8 engineers building agentic systems that combine foundation models with rich customer data, brand guidelines and campaign performance history. The goal is AI marketing output that is grounded, trustworthy and ready for production: content generation, context management, insights and campaign orchestration across ad and lifecycle platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Roadmap and deliver significant features and products for your AMP pod, keeping a high technical bar while making practical tradeoffs
  • Own the pace of execution, and jump into the code yourself when the business needs it
  • Work closely with product, design, go-to-market and other engineering teams
  • Lead recruiting for your team end to end, from defining hiring needs to designing how candidates are evaluated
  • Improve reliability, keep incident management strong, and mentor your engineers so they stay engaged and growing

What they’re looking for

  • At least 1 year of formal engineering people management (not just tech lead or informal mentoring)
  • Hands-on experience building agentic or LLM-based products
  • A strong software engineering background and a track record of shipping major products at a high-growth, early-stage startup (think Ramp, Rippling, Databricks, Plaid or Airtable)
  • Comfort moving between writing code during intense sprints and managing the backlog, cross-functional work and people development
  • Bonus: founder or founding-engineer experience, or a CS degree from a top-tier program

Candidates whose experience is only at big tech companies are typically not a fit, but big tech combined with startup or founder experience is welcome.

Package

  • US$220K–$400K base salary, the same band regardless of location
  • Meaningful equity on top of base, with some choice in how it’s split
  • Series D company in hypergrowth: revenue and headcount roughly double each year, with more than $330M raised from investors including Goldman Sachs, Sapphire Ventures, ICONIQ and Bain Capital Ventures
  • Fully remote across the US or Canada

Location and work authorization

Remote within US or Canadian time zones. Visa transfers (e.g. H-1B, OPT) are welcome, but net-new visa sponsorship isn’t available.
